ATHLETICS
100m/ 400m Sprint:
Many of the world's best athletes compete in this event for the title of the world's fastest human being. With a bit of practice you can join their ranks and follow the path of glory and medals. You need to place among the best four runners in each heat in order to advance a round.ATHLETICS
110m/ 400m Hurdles:
The races demand a maximum of concentration and coordination. To succeed an athlete needs perfect timing in order to take the hurdles without slowing down. Touching a hurdle will result in a loss of speed and will cost precious fractions of a second. The four best athletes of a heat advance to the next round.ATHLETICS
High Jump:
Converting a high running speed into height with a perfectly timed jump is the key to master this discipline. Full concentration is also needed over the bar as the legs have to be pulled up at the right moment to avoid failure. The event ends after the last athletes quits or has failed three attempts in a row.SWIMMING
50m/ 100m/ 400m Freestyle:
100m/ 200m Butterfly:
As with the running disciplines a good start is very important to be successful.
An important technical aspect is the turns which can easily make this difference between winning or losing. Judging speed and distance before a turn is essential in order to gain optimal acceleration after the turn. The four best athletes of each heat advance a round. SHOOTING
25m Rapid Fire Pistol:
Each athlete has five targets to hit. The goal is to score as many rings as possible in a limited time. The 60 shot contests are separated into two parts with 30 shots each. Each part is divided into six 5-shot-rounds with a time limit of 8, 6 or 4 seconds. The player will see a crosshairs that will shake a little bit. After each shot the game will automatically change to the next target. After each series the score will be displayed. After finishing a part, an overview listing the score of all participants will be displayed.About Surfside Games
